What applies in Australia when fitting one of these units?
Vehicle modifications are assessed under VSB 14 for light vehicles up to 4.5 tonnes GVM and VSB 6 for heavy vehicles above it, administered by your state or territory registration authority. Whether your specific installation requires approval or examiner sign-off is their decision, not ours. Because the unit generates gas on demand and stores none, there is no pressurised hydrogen inventory to assess. Our goods carry statutory guarantees under the Australian Consumer Law that cannot be excluded, and our written warranty sits in addition to them.

Fitting and servicing occurs in your workplace under your own safety management system. Because the unit uses deionised water and stores no gas, no caustic chemical or pressurised hydrogen enters that system.

Two warranties, and how they interact.
Your statutory guarantees
Under the Australian Consumer Law our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure, to compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss, and to repair or replacement where goods are not of acceptable quality.
Our written warranty
The published product warranty covers the unit itself and is in addition to your statutory rights, never a replacement for them. Terms, duration and exclusions are set out on the warranty page.
Your vehicle manufacturer
A separate relationship we are not party to. Ask them in writing before fitting. They cannot void your statutory guarantees simply because an accessory is present, but they can decline a claim for a fault the accessory caused — which is why documentation matters.
The points an examiner or safety officer asks about.
No stored gas
Hydrogen and oxygen are generated only while the engine runs and are drawn straight into the intake. There is no cylinder, no accumulator and no residual inventory when the engine is off.
No caustic chemicals
The PEM stack runs on deionised water. No potassium hydroxide or other caustic electrolyte is carried, handled or disposed of, so nothing of that kind enters your WHS chemical register.
Electrical isolation and fusing
The unit draws from the existing 12 V or 24 V supply through its own fused, ignition-switched circuit so it cannot operate with the engine stopped. Wiring and fusing detail is in the installation guide.
Gas line integrity
A bubbler and non-return valve sit between the cell and the intake. The line is small-bore, routed clear of heat and moving parts, and secured — the same discipline as any under-bonnet line.
Secure mounting
The unit must be mounted so it cannot move under vibration, braking or impact loads, which is the point examiners assess most often under the VSB codes.
Full reversibility
Nothing is added to the fuel system and no engine internals are altered, so the vehicle can be returned to its original configuration. That materially simplifies both compliance and resale conversations.
We make no emissions-compliance or certification claim. Fitting a unit does not alter a vehicle's certified emissions status and is not a remedy for an existing defect notice.

No projected, typical or expected fuel-saving figure is published. Actual results vary materially with engine condition, duty cycle, load profile, fuel quality, installation and operating conditions. A controlled field evaluation on your own equipment, with baseline data captured before installation, is required before any commercial projection.

Do I need approval to fit a hydrogen enhancement unit in Australia?
- Vehicle modifications in Australia are assessed under the National Code of Practice — Vehicle Standards Bulletin 14 for light vehicles up to 4.5 tonnes GVM, and Vehicle Standards Bulletin 6 for heavy vehicles above that. Whether a particular installation needs approval or engineering sign-off is a decision for your state or territory registration authority and an approved vehicle examiner, based on how the unit is mounted, powered and connected on that specific vehicle. We supply the hardware and the technical documentation; we cannot certify your vehicle and we do not act as an approving authority.
Will fitting this void my vehicle or engine warranty?
- That is a question for your vehicle or engine manufacturer, and the answer varies by brand, contract and fleet agreement. Ask them in writing before fitting. Under Australian Consumer Law a manufacturer cannot void your statutory guarantees merely because an accessory is fitted, but they can decline warranty for a fault the accessory actually caused. The installation is reversible and adds nothing to the fuel system, which makes the before-and-after position easier to document — keep photographs and records either way.
What are my rights under the Australian Consumer Law?
- Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and to compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage, and to have goods repaired or replaced if they fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure. Our written warranty is in addition to these rights, not a substitute for them.
Is there hydrogen stored on the vehicle?
- No. Gas is produced on demand only while the engine is running and is consumed immediately in the intake. There is no pressurised cylinder and no accumulated volume, which is the single most important point in any hazard assessment or discussion with an examiner, insurer or safety officer.
Who can install the unit?
- A suitably qualified automotive or heavy-diesel technician. We supply hardware and remote technical support only — we do not operate an installer network and we do not attend site. Where a state authority requires an approved vehicle examiner or engineering signatory to assess the modification, that person must be engaged locally.
What documentation should I keep on file?
- The invoice and serial number, the installation date and odometer or hour-meter reading, photographs of the mounting, wiring and gas-line connection, your baseline consumption record, the manufacturer correspondence about warranty, and the resin filter replacement log at 6–9 month intervals. Fleets carrying out modifications at scale should hold this alongside their existing maintenance records.
