Legacy validation — historical alkaline-cell trial data
This page is an archive. Every figure below was recorded on an earlier-generation 100 L/hr oxyhydrogen generator, 12 V DC, alkaline-cell type — a product type we no longer sell. It is retained as historical proof-of-mechanism only. It is not evidence for the PEM systems supplied today, and it is deliberately not used on any product, comparison, calculator or home page.
- Different technology: alkaline cell with caustic electrolyte, different gas output characteristics and control behaviour to a PEM stack.
- No inference should be drawn from these figures about the performance of any current product, engine or duty cycle.
- Single-vehicle and single-operator data. Small sample, no control vehicle, instrumentation limited to fuel volume and odometer.

YBG Group road log — 2.0 L turbodiesel SUV, Canberra–Sydney corridor, Oct 2019 – Feb 2020
Operator: YBG Group (own vehicle, brand intentionally not named). Equipment: earlier-generation 100 L/hr oxyhydrogen generator, 12 V DC, alkaline-cell type. Method: brim-to-brim fuel volume against odometer distance, departure and return runs logged separately, no control vehicle, ambient conditions not instrumented. Sample size: one vehicle, eight logged runs, 1556.5 km total.
Recorded consumption moved from a 9.31 L/100km highway baseline to 6.73 L/100km on the final 292 km return run at approximately 110 km/h steady cruise, with urban/mixed logging over 972.5 km. The change was not immediate; it appeared progressively across roughly the first 1,000 km of operation. Stated once here as a historical record, on discontinued equipment, with the limitations above.

Manufacturer-reported petrol road trials (archived pending technology confirmation)
Two manufacturer-reported petrol road trials — a 1.6 L sedan (7.2 → 6.1 L/100km) and a 2.0 L turbocharged petrol (9.9 → 8.4 L/100km), departure and return runs measured separately and averaged — were previously shown on the field results page. The manufacturer has not confirmed in writing whether the equipment under test was a PEM stack or an earlier alkaline cell, and we hold no method documentation, sample size or instrumentation record for either run.
Until that confirmation exists, the data is archived here rather than presented as evidence for the PEM product. It is stated once, with its limitations, and is not used in any stat card, hero claim or banner.
No projected, typical or expected fuel-saving figure is published. Actual results vary materially with engine condition, duty cycle, load profile, fuel quality, installation and operating conditions. A controlled field evaluation on your own equipment, with baseline data captured before installation, is required before any commercial projection.
